About our school... |
Hilperton CE Primary School is a Voluntary Controlled school on the outskirts of Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
Historical records show that our school dates back as far as 1832. By 1843 it had become a National School with 100 pupils. It became a Church of England school around the turn of the last century. Over the years, the village has expanded and pupil numbers have steadily increased. Due to these increased numbers, the school re-located to its current site, in Newleaze, in September 1970. Today, we currently have 150 pupils on roll split into 5 classes.
As a Church school, we pride ourselves on traditional Christian values. These values underpin our mission statement: Nurturing, Developing and Launching Lifelong Learners. St Michael's Church Our caring Christian ethos has been recently recognised by Ofsted. They cited,
'Pupils are happy here, developing into well mannered, confident young people as they move through the school.' (Ofsted, 2008)

Our Values:
Respect Responsibility Support Ambition Honesty Resilience
This term we are focusing on Support! Our Vision: To make the school a happy and safe place in which to work and develop within a Christian and non-discriminatory environment. To enable children to fulfil their true potential as life long learners and effective members of the community. To help children to develop self-discipline and confidence with a sense of respect for themselves as well as respect for others and their environment. To build a school which is at the heart of the local community with good relationships between all stakeholders.
